All 6 projects are at different stages of construction, please check in biweekly for updates, next update will be Tuesday, January 29th. On to the update:
5809 N WASHTENAW AVE
Construction Update: Since our last update all of the rough inspections have been passed and we have moved on to the finishing stages. The entire house has been insulated, drywalled, and all of the bathrooms have been tiled. The guys have moved on to installing the new hardwood floors and prepping for the trim package to go on.
1837 N MOZART ST
Construction Update: Since our last update the basement digout has been completed and the foundation has been underpinned. The water service has also been completed and the siding is going up. We decided to go with a dark gray color which will go well with black windows and wood accents. I’m excited for the way it’s going to turn out.
1306 W HOOD AVE
Construction Update: Since our last update all of the hardwood floors have been stained and the trim has been installed and painted. The entire house has been painted as well. Up next is light fixtures, cabinets, hardware, etc. We’re not too far away from completion!
4581 N MCVICKER AVE
Construction Update: For the first official construction update on this project, I’m excited to share that the entire interior has been demo’d and the second floor has been raised. We’ve also started pre-marketing the home, it is still very early but we have been able to move one nearby pre drywall so fingers crossed!
1531 W GRANVILLE AVE
Construction Update: Another exciting first construction update! All three levels have been demo’d and cleaned up. It really is nice to see projects this way, as a clean slate. Next up is the back addition for the first and second floor.
1050 N TAYLOR AVE
Construction Update: Since our last update we’ve been going back and forth with the Village of Oak Park about the layout of the house. They required us to get a strutural engineer to run calculations because of the open layout we first went with. It came back that we needed more interior walls to support the structure because the house is too wide. We went back and worked with our architect on a new layout and that is being resubmitted for approval with the village. I will post pictures of the layout when it has been approved.
