This is the current projects biweekly update for the week of October 15th, 2018. As of 10-17-2018 Park Place Property Group has 3 projects under construction: 1306 W Hood Ave, 5809 N Washtenaw Ave, and 1837 N Mozart St and 3 more coming up that we just acquired: 4581 N McVicker Ave, 1531 W Granville Ave, and 1050 N Taylor Ave.
All 3 projects are at different stages of construction, please check in biweekly for updates, next update will be Tuesday, October 30th.
On to the update:
5809 N WASHTENAW AVE
Construction Update: Since our last update all of the rough electrical, plumbing, and HVAC have been finished and we’re now waiting to pass rough inspections by the City of Chicago. From our last update, we decided to leave the back brick area and make that a mud room with exposed brick – I am really excited about the way that is going to look. We’re going for a more rustic look on this house, I can’t wait for you to see the finishes we picked.

1837 N MOZART ST
Construction Update: Since our last update the third floor has been fully framed and finished including the top floor’s powder room and deck. Aside from that, we made some changes to the layout. After laying out the bathrooms and closet for the top unit, we realized that the master bath and master closet were too small so we had to reduce the size of the laundry/mechanial room which wasn’t easy but we made it work. That meant having to remove and re-do all of the framing, plumbing, and electrical that already been finished and push it back about 3 feet towards the back of the house. Even though it cost us about a week, we’re content with the decision becuase we’d rather spend a little more time now when we can move things around with relative ease than later once the walls are drywalled. Next up is finishing all of the remaining rough mechanicals and passing city inspections.
1306 W HOOD AVE
Construction Update: Since our last update the garage has been finished, the roof has gone on, and the top floor has been sided. In addition, as I was walking through the drywall got delivered and the crew was cleaning up the place to get ready for drywall to go on. We’ve already picked all of the finishes for the house which is exciting along with what color we’re paining the stucco. From here on out it’s really going to start moving fast and the house will start to take shape, I’m excited.
